figuring out a fair asking price for a BenQ W9000

Hi all,

Well my BenQ W9000 originally was $3500 so I guess this is the right area to ask this. I can't find a precedant anywhere on the web to establish a fair asking price for my projector. Its got a brand new bulb, is ISF calibrated, what do you guys think is 900-$1000 sound about right or can I get a little more (or less) BenQ is offering a tradeup for a refurb W7000 but essentially they will only give me $500 for my unit. Besides I'd much rather buy a JVC X55 D-ILA projector!!

thanks

Mike

I'd say maybe around $700 to $800. I sold an Optoma hd8600, which was newer and more expensive, and only got $999 for it. The unit and bulb were still actually still under warranty. It might not be worth the hassle. But who knows, maybe someone out there really wants a w9000.

What PJ did you replace the hd8600 with?

I had the Optoma boxed up, but was using a RS45, and for a little bit, a RS46. I have replaced both of those units with a Sony VPL-VW95es.
