HBIT vs Separate Componets

So I need some advice regarding sound on a system.

I'm looking at either getting the Samsung HT-E6730W or getting separate components like the Yamaha YHT-599UBL.

I've been leaning towards the Yamaha due to the ability to change out video player/video technology in the future. But one thing that keeps getting me is the Samsung 1000w vs the Yamaha 500w output. Looking at Consumer reports, it puts the sound quality of the Samsung as excellent, while the Yamaha is good.

Anyone have any experience with the systems, any thoughts. Thanks in advance.

Listen to them if you can. CR is an ok place to start but ultimately it's what sounds best to you that matters. Output can be misleading at times depending on how they measure it. It's always best to go with separates if your budget will allow. Good speakers can make a mediocre receiver sound great, but poor speakers can make a great receiver sound bad.
