That isn't the problem.
In the configurator, MPC-HC is selectable in the dropdown (and I selected it) in the 'External Player Type' box at the top.
Only thing I could imagine could've gone wrong is that, if you select MPC-HC, you get the following at the bottom of the page:
"MPC-HC Player Tips:
A number of settings need to be configured. Please click configure my player for more information"
And then there's a clickable 'Configure my Player' link that brings up the following pop-up:
"The following MPC-HC settings will be configured for you
- Disable remember file position
-Disable Remember DVD position
- Enable web interface on port 13579
- Enable use global media keys
- Enable Dont's use 'search in folder' on commands 'Skip back/forward' when only one item in playlist
-Set medium jump-size to 30 seconds (for rewind/ff buttons)
-Configure basic media center remote buttons
Would you like to continue?'
Then I, perhaps unwisely, clicked 'Yes'
Mind you, I've been using MPC-HC for playback w/ MB for 2 yrs with no problems.
Not clear why it suddenly is just opening, but isn't playing the movie. Maybe I shouldn't have clicked 'Yes'?
