Sony keeps adding alot of older movies. I havent counted it but there seems to be quite a few. I went thru the previews and they seem to have done a good job cleaning them up. Laurence of Arabia looked pretty good. There are only 3 new movies (After Earth, This is the End, and forgot the other one). I checked out the preview of This is the End and it was clean and well done. My favorite by far is still Life Cycle, a 44 min documentary on bikes. The colors and resolution are superb! Other than that, there are some smaller movies that are free like the underwater lifes and such. Oh, and if you are a huge fan of Breaking Bad, they have those episodes in 4k. I just cant see myself paying for those when I have already seen the entire series in HD.
My big question is about the PS4. Will the movie service be offered on that? I mean, why spend $700 when you can get it for $400. Also, how will they protect themselves with other manufacturers not having HDCP 2.2.
We all made the jump to next generation knowing that there isnt any real 4k content. I think Sony is trying to do its best to fill that in. I would like to see more 4k movies too but I know that as an early adopter, I will have to wait it out.
