I am trying to find if there are any of you that are experiencing zero clouding or an acceptable level of clouding (whatever acceptable means).
I have the 65X900A. I am trying to come to terms with my clouding issue. I have seen worse pictures in this forum than what I have, but I am not thrilled about the white blotches on my screen evident during some scene changes, the scrolling credits screen of various movies, the input selection that has nothing connected to it, but not noticeable (yet) during an active scene of a movie or show. I am blown away by the crisp bright picture and 3D quality. Even with the Audio issues I am having with my X1, I am thrilled to have it which include the SD card Slot, a USB 2.0 port for an external hard drive, and a USB 3.0 slot for my own needs. I am also anxious to learn more about which HDMI port is being made 2.0 compliant and exactly what does that mean. I do think that Sony is trying to improve this set given the firmware updates that are ongoing.
My clouding experience is similar to the left half of the screen in:
The seller customer service team has strongly suggested that they replace my unit from the moment I questioned if I had a problem. The replacement exchange is scheduled for Tuesday. I am more concerned about the devil you know vs the devil you don’t know scenario. Though there may not be many bad sets reported here, but there is enough to give me caution. There are about as many posts on the internet from people who claim they have zero clouding, vs those that are experiencing it. Yes, I have read through every clouding issue discussed in this thread, but there are far more people with the TV's here then who have reported anything about it.
Thanks for you help and/or advice.
