60ZT60 ordered this AM from Best Buy. Price not bad based on what I've seen elsewhere.

are you getting any sort of in stock confirmations on the order? I cant seem to get the website to display anything besides 3-5 day delivery for ship to store. Really hesitant right now.

3-5 day delivery for ship to store means that is in stock at the warehouse. They do not actually stock these in most stores, so you are not going to see inventory there. If it let's you get to checkout, you should be fine. Keep waiting for it to show in-stock at the store though, and you will likely be disappointed.

Well, I have to go back to check my email if anything else has developed, but....I was able to complete the order and got order confirmation at checkout on the ZT60.

10 minutes prior to that I tried to order a VT60 and it wouldn't let me finish the order. Said was not available for store pickup nor home shipping in my area.

Why would you hesitate? If they have it, it will be delivered. If not, you are no worse off than you are now.
I am thinking in hindsight I maybe should have ordered ship to store rather than home delivery. Perhaps one less fly in the ointment thing that could end in some sort of mistake.

Hmmmm?

You did the right thing, unless you have a pickup or trailer you are much better off having them deliver it. Just watch over them like a hawk once it gets there!

I do have a pickup, but it's 70 miles round trip to the nearest BB.

The ONLY way you would be better off to pick it up in store, imo, is if they will unpack it in the store and power it up for you and even then, you would have to pack it back up before loading it up and securing it properly and then unload it yourself once you get home. Then something happens to it and you're SOL because they know there was nothing wrong with it when you left the store. Not worth all that if you ask me.

Pass on that. Have them deliver it. If you have any issues then, they'll pick it back up as well.

OK. Home delivery it will be.

Thanks for the advice.

What is a good price (or fair price) for a "Floor Model" or an "Open Item" for the P60ZT60?

(would 10% of current 'brand new in box" BNIB (with full mfg warranty) be considered good? Or would 15% be considered fair or 20%? Given that both floor models and BNIB are both in short supply for this TV)

I would take a look at the hours on the panel, if you hear the fan noise, date of manufacture and negotiate from there - some of our members with more retail experience can probably be more helpful
post #1154 of 1930
Sorry, but how do you find the hours on a panel?

I picked up an open box 60zt60 for $1620 before tax plus 10x rewards. 1600 hours, no burn in, slight small smudge on the anti reflective coating, had both remotes/serial# paperwork but was missing the 3-D glasses. Hope that helps to give you a range to shoot for.

This was at Best Buy

That's quite a buy if nothings wrong with it, congrats!

Thanks, everything is working good so far. I forgot to mention that this was during the extra 10% off open box coupon deal so that skewed the price lower than you might be able to get currently. I tried to get them lower than $1620 but no luck! Also, I tried to get an open box 65zt60 at a different store but the lowest price they would go was $2550 (unit had significant permanent burn in and approximately 2500 hours, all accessories were included) Hope this helps members looking at open items.

They have a 65ZT60 in BB in Hartsdale (Westchester County) NY that they said they would sell on 2/1/14 - would not discuss price

My demo model was a 65ZT60 from Best Buy. April build, 2479 hrs. I paid $2493.00 plus tax, delivery was free. No manual included but can download one online, Brand new zt remote is coming and 3D glasses included weren't original but better rechargeable ones, not that that matters since I don't do 3D. The good news, NO Burn in, NO dead pixels, and NO IR, so I'm happy.

When I ordered mine from BB, the order showed processing for 3 days. I finally called the warehouse to confirm they had them in stock. They confirmed they had them then moved up a delivery to a couple days later.

Well I would suggest getting at least one good 3D movie and watching it before blowing it off, I thought the same until I watched one on my VT!

I received email order confirmation this afternoon indicating they are confirming the delivery date with the delivery company.

Hopefully it'll all work out fine. It looks like they're still accepting orders at the same pricethey were this AM. I consider that a good sign...

Keep an eye on it. Mine was in that status for three days. The reason I contacted BB's warehouse directly, I was burned by BB when I tried to purchase a V10 from them 5 years ago. After a week, they finally told me they didn't have the TV and could get any more. With ZT in short supply, I didn't want to take any chances this time.

If you don't get a deliver date within a couple of days, I'd call and inquire and ask for a delivery date.

Thanks, it's a physical thing though, I've only got good vision in my right eye and to experience 3D you need vision in both eyes.

Thanks for stressing me out over this. wink.gif

One thing is for sure...BB won't get a single penny from me ever again, nor anyone I can influence likewise, should I get notice they don't have a TV for me after sending an order confirmation. eek.gif

That's the next best deal I've seen next to mine and actually a little lower. And you used the same method I did of getting the extra 10 percent for Open Box items. Mine ended up at 1690 after a starting price of 1933.99 then 10 percent off and a 50.00 reward zone benefit I had, plus they also threw in a 15.00 gift card because I spent more than 100.00 on that particular day. The only difference is that what actually ended up *arriving* at my house was a brand new in the box TV instead of the OB I originally bought (though even that one had just over 100 hours and was complete).

I have read the brand new some of these are being shipped with a 100 hours or so on them already.

Then they aren't brand new. wink.gif
