Are u able to say or maybe PM me the new price since it seems has changed since yesterday.

Yeah, they use separate POS systems so one has no way of looking up the transactions of another. At least not for the purposes of return/exchange/price adjustments.

Got offer of $3100 from my local BB today. Said thats the lowest they could go without having to worry about repurcussions from Samsung.

Told them i'll wait. We will all be saving about $500 in a matter of weeks. Panasonic is already relaxing prices and Samsung will need to compete.

If you are referring to the price of the 65ZT, you may be disappointed. The cost doesn't allow much deeper discounting.

I'm so glad i saw on here that they were on sale last week in store. As soon as i saw that i went in on friday to verify and sure enough it was posted on the tv. I ended up talking them down to $2500 on the 60". Going to pick it up wednesday after work.

Oh yeah i wanted to add how much i hate dealing with cheesy bb tv salesman!

Good to know... I may decide to go there since you had a good experience.

I visited a couple of Best Buys in Connecticut over the weekend. One had the 65 marked "on sale" at $3200. At another, I asked about the reduced pricing from a couple of weeks ago ($2700 for the 60 and $3200 for the 65) and the manager said they would do it. I think all you need to do is ask -- they must be looking to move them before the lock up period expires and they start to see more pricing pressure.

I am leaning to the f8500 myself, but I post this here as an FYI. Good hunting.

Hearing of major improvements for the 2014 zt model with current or better blacks and brightness to rival Samsung f8500 with several other improvements. Thinking I'll hold out for that one.

Same here, where are you hearing this and when will the 2014 model come out?

Today is the last day of Best Buy ZT exclusive. Hooray! Both ZT and 8500 prices should be changing soon...............
Are their any additional benefits to a BB purchase besides the complimentary calibration with qualifying silver membership? And the 5% points earned with BB credit card purchase of the ZT? Has anyone been able to negotiate any additional benefits?
A 60 day return period which gives you leverage if any price changes occur during that time - Best Buy has been great about matching prices for me during that period from legitimate sellers. The two month return window (most likely time a problem will develop) and price matching are the two reasons I buy from Best Buy, when I bought my Kuro from the 4 years ago I was able to price match the final cost down significantly. With my VT I have saved about $600 before my window closed a few days ago. You should be able to get free delivery too. Silver Reward members also earn a 25% bonus on points - so you should end up with about $75 in reward certificates unless using their credit card changes that. Calibration is not a reason to buy from them, I wouldn't let them touch my display, read the calibration thread and decide for yourself though. Enjoy!

Does anyone think the end of the ZT exclusive at BB will effect VT prices?
Im looking at the 65VT60 at Pauls TV for 2499 but would love it to drop a couple hundred.

Any thoughts would be apprecaited

You don't need BB credit card for 5%. I used my US Bank Cash+ when I chose "electronics" for the previous quarter. Best of all, you can get a bundle checking from US Bank, and get an additional 50% on your rewards. So, it is actually 7.5% cash back from US Bank + 2% from BB reward zone membership which totals to 9.5% net discount.

EDIT:
Please ignore this post. After writing this post, I went to myFico and found out that Cash+ card has changed significantly since July 1st. Apparently, they have a cap of $2,000 for 5% categories now, making this card worthless for BB or other electronic stores.

^Good thinking. I'm using some 0% APR (through 2015, including the Best Buy Capital One) cards to finance my purchase (gulp), and I've found the promotions from the banks/lenders are generally not allowed to be stacked or double-dipped (i.e. cashback PLUS 0% APR). However, I did get the side benefit of Citi Thank You Points (which can be used to obtain items through the Thank You store or converted to usable cash at storefronts like Amazon) by dividing the purchase among the two aforementioned cards.

Just curious, other then the laminated screen glare feature and a few software tuning control options... is there differences in the mainboards of the vt and zt series? overall, is the $1K diff really worth it.
Internal reflections are reduced, but those are pretty minimal (if noticeable at all) in the first place. Where are you finding the $1k difference? It should be closer to a $500 spread.

Amazon now has the ZT60 - 5% off list for the 60' and 2% off 65' - not much of a deal.
Just got the 65 ZT for $3,499 at local Best Buy in Dallas.

That's been the in-store price for the last few weeks. Prior to that it had dropped to $3,199 for a week or two which was a great deal.

Nope. It will go down. BB was selling 60" for 2699 at one point. I think you should expect that price point from amazon at some point, and a drop in the VT to compensate as well.

FYI, you can purchase the set directly from the Panasonic shop now too. I65" was $3299 yesterday, $3149 if you have EPP pricing.

I see the 60ZT is $3,149 and 65ZT is $3,699 with EPP pricing.

How does one see the EPP pricing?

Your company has to participate in EPP program. You would get a special link to the Panasonic website and get the prices that way. I would think BB is in the program too?

We are not, but get a discount through the store that is substantial.
When I worked at BB it was a pretty good discount. If I recall it was 5 or 10 percent above cost. It was amazing to see the profit margin in accessories like cables.

I wonder what cost is on the ZT?

Cheers
Steven
