40" LED TV's Samsung UN40F6300 or UN40F6400 OR OTHERS? PLEASE SUGGEST

Hello, and thank-you in advance for your thoughts, opinions and suggestions...

I need a 40" for a Bedroom and I don't want to spend too much money but I also don't want to buy to cheap and waste money,
if you know what I mean!

I was thinking between Samsung UN40F6300 or UN40F6400, I think the only difference is that the 6400 is a 3D TV, unless someone tells me there are other differences? I don't really care about 3D, in which case it would be UN40F6300 unless
anyone tells me that there is a better deal on something else out there that is very similar...

I don't want to add a fios box in that bedroom, that's why I am going with Smart TV as that will give us access to Netflex and
HBO .....

Let me know your thoughts, and if anyone has got any good deals on this TV, would you let me know where from?

Many Thanks

PS: Also how do you think a SONY KDL-40R450A would compare to the samsung? It's 60Hz but they say it has 120XR motion X chip which doubles the Hz?? It's not a smart Tv but I think I can add an apple TV to it? which would make it cheaper than the Samsung.... Unless someone thinks it would be a mistake to go with the sony over a samsung.... Thank-you

I just saw the F6400 in my local Best Buy and standard def. wasn't very good, actually horrible. This may not be important to you if you have high def. channels but I don't, so I was disappointed in the picture. Very grainy, dull, washed out, but this may also be partially be caused by their internet service. I actually played with the remote and got it a little better but not much. The manager told me that I should get at least the 7000 series, otherwise not a good picture on the 6000 series. On the other hand, I had a 46" F6350 TV at home for a day and the picture was great, so I'm inclined to think it was the store's feed. The 6350 was a bit too small for me and I also want 3D so I returned it. If you have a Costco near you they carry the 6350, you can buy it and return it if you don't like it.

That's what I've heard on other sites, that the SD suffers on the 6400. I wonder if this is a general issue with other manufacturer's 3-D TV's.

It's an issue with all HD sets. More noticeable the larger the screen. Streaming can look ok if your Internet service has enough bandwidth, SD cable not so good.
