Since you're seeing blue push, maybe try fairchild99's settings as they tend to be targeting 6500k? Special attention to "black level" being set at LOW, color temp, pro settings, etc...
Here is a link to CNET's 65PS64 settings in case you want to give those a try:
I'll post a link to fairchild99's settings in a moment in case you don't have that..
Ok, post 1310. These should be warmer than the CNET settings maybe:
If you scan down in the above linked info, fairchild gives some settings to bump depending upon device (HTPC, etc). However, I don't think these are the sort of changes that would be driving something major like this.
Pro settings giving NO change doesn't sound very promising, though. Individually, they gave a lot less change than I expected. However, as you said, it should not be ZERO change.
I'm wondering about whether it has the latest firmware but that doesn't address what you're describing. Just wondering if the FW is corrupted somehow and maybe that is why pro settings are inactive?... well, you're right. Probably hardware. The last firmware update was to address a stability problem - one that nobody I know of has seen happen.
If you try a firmware update, last I heard it was best to do it by USB stick, not attempt to download it directly from web to TV.
Ok, I'm grasping at straws, but: Is it possible you had changed some settings for your HTPC graphics card for your previously repaired TV? Just a thought.
fairchild99: I hope you're still monitoring. Do you have any ideas based upon your HTPC and S60 tuning and settings experience?
One other thought: Do you have a different HDMI video source you can temporarily run direct to the TV to rule out possible settings conflicts in the current source and switching devices?
