Rotel rmp 1075 vs Marantz SR6007 built-in amp

Hi guys my current setup is:

1. Rotel rsp 1066

2. Rotel rmp 1075 x (2)

3. Definitive technology powerfield subwoofer x (2)

4. 7 KEF speakers ( 2xQ7 2xQ5 2xQ3 and 1x9C)

I'm switching from Rotel rsp 1066 to Marantz SR6007 and wondering which would sound better the Marantz SR6007 alone or using the Rotel rmp 1075 with it, tell me what do you think is better,

Thank You

I don't know the Marantz, but I just replaced my Rotel 1066 with the Marantz AV7005 and I still have the Rotel 1075 amp. It's been in my system for 12 years and it's never failed me. It's bulletproof.

Interesting, DarkLad. I just asked a similar question about my Rotel 985 and the new Yamaha A820 I just ordered. I have trouble believing that the separate power stages of the Rotel will not outperform the integrated amps in the receiver.

My question is over in the Official Yamaha RX773 Thread. Maybe we'll get the benefit of someone's experience.
