Has any one tried using this with Windows Server 2012 Standard Edition?

Thx

Yes, I am and I love it.

Works extremely well. I first used MM about 5 years ago but moved to Mediabrowser because the MM Media Center plugin was so kludgy back then.

My main gripe with MB is that the interface is not as consistent with Media Center as I would like. So I decided to give My Movies 4 a chance and liked it so much that I uninstalled MB.

It is not as customizable as MB but it does what I need it to do. The collection manager is a great feature once you have figured out how to stop it from overwriting the locally stored cover images. smile.gif

I use it with Server 2012 Essentials and it works great. Clients are running Win8. Started with MB and switched over Christmas to MM.

Hi Politby,

Are you using this with Window Server 2012 Standard Edition or Essentials. I am wanting to use with Windows Server Standard Edition by the mymovies site indicates the Home Server and Windows Server Essentials edition on works on one of these two OSs.

Thx

I would assume you just install the regular My Movies server to the non WHS and Essentials versions same as if you were running it on a basic version of Windows. The WHS and Essentials version probably has more to do with adding the Dashboard add-in.

Bryansj is correct. Just use the regular MM server.
