I'm going to post this in the other thread too as I am looking for as much feedback as I can get. Thanks in advance!

Most, if not all image related issues posted here can be resolved by settings adjustments. Most pig the complaints regarding image quality are about the default presets...factor in that people are using varying sources/material as well.

You're using a few different sources and inputs, and their respective set of settings will most likely differ. You may even have to use differing "color gamut", and "HDMI color" settings on each input. Also, the set may need about 300 hrs to "normalize". It took closer to 400 for my reds and blues to be "not a overly vibrant...YMMV.

They unbixed the tv put it in the stand then put it on the tv stand. Then I manually checked with a flashlight for imperfections. I didn't want them to leave without it being lifted onto my tv stand and me performing a manual inspection.

I just received my zt60! Unfortunately it's a June build date. So no fan fix. I'm a bit concerned because when I got my vt60 the front panel had stickers with all the features and a protective plastic strip on the bottom. This zt60 has none of that. Only a energy rating sticker like you would see on display. Is This how your tvs looked when it arrived? Can someone please tell me again how to check the hours and should be all zeros? Waiting to fire it up because it's cold! Thanks guys.

Yes, just energy rating sticker. Status 4 is the easiest way to check hours.

Mine had energy rating sticker, and I thought a small panny sticker, no film or protector other than the nice plastic / soft "envelope. I had Zero hours.
Menu - Help - Version - Status 4

BTW I have a May build date and my fans are pretty quiet...

Just the energy rating sticker for me, too. Zero hours.

any other methods preferred i've missed?

also, does anyone have experience with the Android ZT App for day to day use?
going to pick up Logitech Harmony Ultimate Hub this or next week.. does anyone have any experience with this?
Wii, PS3, XBox 360, DirecTV Genie, and soon Denon 1713(i believe)

and one last question, I have two fresh water fishtanks in the room that the ZT is going in, while they do not in anyway offer a lot of humidity,
how much is too much for day to day use?
Regarding slides, full screen content (16:9, no logos or tickers) effectively accomplishes the same thing as running slides so if you want to actually watch your TV you shouldn't worry about that.

I had a Harmony One for years until I stepped on it a couple of months ago. I replaced it with an Ultimate. It's expensive but I really like it. It's definitely an upgrade from the One, especially the RF functionality and no-delay buttons. I've used the app (iPhone) and it also works well, especially if you don't like the position of the FF/REW buttons at the top of the remote. However, the remote is easier to use so I wouldn't rely solely on the app, but it may be something you can get used to. However, if that's your plan, you may want to consider the Harmony Smart Control instead. (I have a ZT60, Denon AVR, PS3, Xbox 360 & AT&T cable.)

OCD?? What's that? :-) thanks for the help guys. Odd that the vt60 had more protection than the zt60. All is well. I will fire it up in about 30 min. That makes 2 hours. It came out if a van. A tad nervous because my room is looking awefully bright right now and the panel looks crazy reflective with it turned off. Fingers crossed!

She imediately said: Nope, no can do! So there. Back to square one. My TV is still sitting on the floor running slides even though I'm now past 100 hours (which is probably not a bad thing). I need to find me a strong friend to help me with this TV. Axxion, how would you like to visit Little Rock?
Lol not for free, im in houston. It would be much more cost effective give a random person around your street 20 bucks to help. Or put a ad in craigslist. Maybe a family memeber? If none of that works, have pizza delivered to your house and bribe the pizza man with cash lol. Good luck, just dont let anyone try to pick it up who isnt comfortable doing so.

Haha hilarious! Michael Bay chokes on stage. I can't believe this guy is a paid shill. Like he doesn't make enough money off those ****** Transformer movies.

When Samsung asks for its endorsement money back he should do what Samsung service did to me when I called about the strip of dead pixels on my plasma panel.

On another note, Long story short, I'm coming from a samsung f8500 and I think panasonic needs to take a lesson or two from samsung on how to package their tvs. The f8500 was packed way better than this zt60.
You went VT60 to 8500 to ZT correct ? Welcome back smile.gif

+10!!

I've had all of the top 2013 models and the Panasonic packaging is a little more than wrapping in a paper towel!

I certainly hope that's the case. If only my woman shared my enthusiasm for getting one of the last great TVs (for a while anyway). She still makes fun of me commenting on how black it gets.

My ZT is up and running, NO buzzing, No humming from the fans (October 2013 build) unless you put your ear behind the TV!! The picture is perfect, works well in a bright room. Sound and vision settings are in and I'm watching the Avengers in 1080p from my Apple TV and it looks amazing even in my bright room!!!. I have full control over the lighting as it is in a basement so the TV looks even more amazing with the lights off. I am finally happy with a purchase of a TV.

OK then you're off the hook but only for 6 months or so until we will have moved to... you guessed it, Houston! If I need any heavy lifting then I'll have to find you.

I would like to turn the pixel orbiter off but it's grayed out no matter what picture mode I'm in (manual says it's grayed out in THX and EBU default). I've tried all picture modes, no luck. Anyone knows how to fix that? Thanks.
Picture looks great so far. I would have to say the samsung f8500 reflects less light. Also the fans on this thing are cranking pretty loud def more than the vt60 I had. Also the buzz is louder. Didn't seem bad at first, but the buzz is worse than the samsung and the vt60. Gonna run slides for a couple hours, grab a workout and come back home to tinker with it. The colors have so much saturation to them which I love!

AVKIK,

Think you are more susceptible to panel buzzing than perhaps others as this is

the second display that you have had problems with.  Not criticism, mind you,

but just odd.  My ZT60 has no buzzing whatsoever.

Better saturation than the Samsung F8500?

When you get better acquainted with your new display I would love to know

which picture you prefer better.

Best of luck with your new display.

Possibly but I owned a VT60, and 2 f8500's and now a ZT60. The ZT does not buzz, the 2 f8500's were so annoying I couldn't take it. I have very good hearing and can pick out all types of different high pitch noises. He has just been unlucky just like me when it comes to panels having louder then normal buzzing.
