Comparing the specs for the CX-A5000 and the RX-A3030 they look pretty much the same except a few dsp modes and the XLR connections. It would almost seem to make sense to get the 3030 if you plan to run seperate amps (like me with my Emotiva's)? Any thoughts to this and what else may make the pre-amp a better solution. It costs about $800 more and thats without the amps so just wondering what we may expect. Anyone in the know?
I think your assessment about the differences are fairly accurate (the A5000 uses 9016 DAC's on all channels, the A3030 uses a lower model on the presence outputs.)
I think the AVENTAGE A1030, 2030 and 3030 are really well built and are marketed as such...
Who know how much more effort has gone into the A5000... I also think the A5000 may use 2 DAC's per channel, which may or may not be audible in some rooms... hope to get come clarity on that.
The amp looks really nice, and is most definitely a unique product
Cool products... excited to hear users reports and reviews..
