Digital audio out on TV to coxial on sound bar

Hi,
I have a TV with only a 'digital audio output' and a standard audio out (red and white cables) and no optical.
I want to connect to a soundbar (Sony HT-CT260) that has only 3 inputs (analog, optical and coaxial).

The question is, will my digital audio output on my TV connect to the coaxial input on my sound bar?

Much appreciated!

The digital audio outputs on TVs are either optical or coax. If yours isn't optical, then it is almost certainly the other.

Thanks!
So I will assume that all I need is a coaxial cable to connect the digital audio out from the TV to the optical on my sounbar.

You mean to the coaxial on the soundbar? Yeah, all you need is that type of cable.

Optical to optical, or coaxial to coaxial. Since you have both inputs on the soundbar, you just need to determine which digital output is on the TV.(Opitcal should be labeled either optical or TOSlink, and the output should have a little flap on it. If instead it's an orange or black round output, it's coaxial.)
