Dumping HDDVD....

I plan on letting go of my HDDVD players and discs, however-I seem to remember reading somewhere that the HD-XA1 made for a great CD audio player...If that was indeed the case, the HD-A2 and HD-A3 will be the ones to go. Can anyone validate this info?

I remember that one XA1 review mentioned that how great XA1 is as a CD player. Well, in my opinion it can't be a good CD player since it has a very low-spec DAC(PCM1755 if I remember correctly), plus it has a very loud fan when it is on. (Both XA1 and A1 operate like a PC)

It seems that there is a 50/50 opinion split on this with some saying they are 'SHARC" dacs and others stating they use Burr-Brown dacs......
