I got the entire Loft series, they are really nice speakers. I extremely happy with them. Now I need to find an stereo amp that can feed 250W per side so I can use them in Large mode.
I have an Anthem MRX-300, Harman Kardon AVR-7300, and this Pioneer. The Pio replaced a Denon AVR-3311CI which cost double. I like the Pio better than the denon and feel it has more power and equal if not better sound. Just my opinion but i felt the Pio is an incredible value.
I have to agree a good bang for the buck, I moved from a Harman Kardon to a Pio, and I love the Pio sound. Some people have been able to get these sub $400. Which is amazing.
I posted this in another thread but am looking for an answer specific to Pioneer.
Is anyone using the HDZONE feature (the 2nd HDMI out)? From my understanding of it, it seems pretty useless in practice...If I feed the receiver a 5.1 audio source, what happens to the audio in Zone 2 if it's plugged into a standard TV set with onboard speakers?
I have played around with Zone 2 and HDZONE extensively. It drops down to stereo for Zone2 or HDZONE. It's good for a second room. At one point I had two HDMI cables running to the same TV so I could play video games and listen to music at the same time via the receiver.
Mostly I think people use the second zone for a patio. I'll be doing that at my new place this summer.
