Safe House plot question

Just got my Safe House bluray last week. Saw it first on Dish Network when I was in LA. Liked it so much I decided to buy the bluray ($10.00). Any how there's one aspect of the story I never got. In the beginning when Tobin Frost is in disguise (over coat) he gets shot by a sniper. Then in the next frame he's walking away with his old associate. Was he supposed to have faked his death?

Good quality a/v.

It was a double in disguise. Like he had a guy go outside to throw the shooter off and the dude got shot , from what I remember .

Ok thanks. That explains it. Maybe the mentioned it and I missed it. Every time I've watched this on bluray I've had noisy distractions (e.g. electric fan on a hot day). Liked the film a lot. Loved the story and action sequences. Decent acting. And good bluray a/v work.
