You have to accept Netflix streaming for what it is. All the licensed content seems to have a window, about a third of the items in my instant queue disappeared 12/31/2012. They know what content is being watched and if the numbers are low then most likely they will not renew their contract for that item(s). Netflix has already expressed their concern for TV Everywhere
, they are afraid TVE will get access to content they are paying big dollars for.
For myself: been recording network (mostly PBS and CBS) for over 10 years and chopping out the commercials. CBS via OTA (and/or QAM), PBS direct from satellite (AMC-21
Have Netflix 3 at a time Blu-ray disc and unlimited steaming. Watching/have watched Dexter, The Borgias, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, etc., etc. via disc. The premium originals most likely will never show up on SVOD. Most of the Netflix streaming is done on the iPad or soon to be 32" LCD, in most cases the streaming does not warrant projector viewing in the media room.
