Ive Got SVS fever

So I audioned a couple of SVS subwoofers the other day.
The PB12 NSD
and the PB1000

im suprised at how deep these subwoofers can actually dig.
For the Price they are quite good.
Its definately made my choices Lean towards getting an SVS subwoofer (original thoughts were going to be the SuBsonic XS1 mk2 for the musical capabilities but im more movies)

One thing i do hope to save my bucks for is the PB13 Ultra.
That subwoofer is huge and not very expensive when you compare it to the paradigm studio sub 15.

If im really going to spend more than $900 ill go with the subsonic LOL
Im a tight ass so $649 or $799 is good for me.
Pb12 nsd Or SuBsonic XS1 is a hard ask. Probably subsonic seeing as my Father has one
and i can get the subsonic cheaper than $1200 same price as a pb12 nsd

Don't get me wrong the SuBsonic is friggin excellent when it comes to music. But it does drop off quite fast after 22 hz. And its great for the price IF YOU GET A SECOND ONE.
My father has the XS1 and he loves it, but i think the pb12 nsd may be a little better (for movies and for depth in music)

Ive got Immense respect for the SVS company. Selling those subwoofers at THAT price is almost a freaking steal.

I have no idea what’s available in Australia but from what I can surmise it might be slim Pickens??.. Is there any chance of you posting a few pic’s of the driver in your SuBsonic? It sure would be interesting! smile.gif

Yeah saving for the ULTRA is a good/lofty goal imo. Another great achiever is their PB12+.. have you checked that out? Not toooo far behind the ULTRA, and it comes in $$600 cheaper! Both great subs far ahead of the SubSonic I assure you.. easy peezy. Anyway the other two subs you mention would serve you well as long as your not in a 30X30 room or something like that! They will extend much lower than the SS.. Good subs!
