Sadly it's hardly a surprise.
Everyone in here including those of us wishing it would happen and those telling us that we're wrong for caring one way or another expected this to be the case in the end.
Luckily from my end, I don't mind it too much. Unlike Codemaster's F1 series and GT5 that I found barely playable for my taste with a gamepad and needed a nice wheel in order to enjoy, I'll likely be just fine with Forza 5 and a gamepad. Stinks though for the higher performance vehicles though since they can be a real handful with a gamepad like the Le Mans prototypes, the open wheel racecars they've including here, 60's pony cars, etc.
But most of the time in the Forza series, I feel like I'm glued to the tarmac and do okay with a gamepad.

I'll answer your question by asking you a question. Did anyone ever claim they did?
The complaints are that they're not supporting it, not that they're backing out of supporting it after saying they would. And you know that since you've been a regular participant in this thread. So if you think this is some sort of check mate in a debate telling us we shouldn't care, you need to go look for another move since this doesn't get you there.Edited by Leo_Ames - 10/15/13 at 11:40pm
