I've been playing the tar out of this game since I got my Xbox One the weekend before last, I'm around level 120 and have about 60% or so of the game completed. I've got all the cars I need at this point to finish the game and enough other cars to keep up some curious tomfoolery.
Right now I'm playing on the 3rd highest difficulty and it's still way too easy, I'm almost always leading within the first lap, I probably need to bump that up one more (right below "Impossible" or whatever it's called). I've got some decent track times and have many ranked in the 50-400 mark, which is surprising because I've hardly done any tuning on any of the cars. Most of them I have in the 1000 mark or so. I played a few online races for the first time and couldn't help but laugh, all you need to do is avoid the idiots crashing into each other on the first turn or two and then I destroyed every one each time.
Some of the very top lap times are unbelievably quick, I can't even touch them - I'm often 10 seconds or so slower. I've watched a few of their videos and there is a lot of skill involved, they are much smoother than I can manage with the joysticks and they are able to keep up their speed very well. All I really have going for me is that I know the tracks and adapt okay to each car.
My friend also showed me that forzamotorsports site yesterday and I got 4,320,000 credits. I really think the game should just give more credits for each win, it makes no sense that you can spend 6 million on a car, then race for 10k per race and 12k for the entire series. I generally hate the entire menu structure of the game, and not labeling the engine swaps is amateur hour. Why do I need to load the next track before I can quit? Why is it that when you start up the series that you don't have a car for, your only option is to buy a pre-tuned car? Why does my drivatar suck ass?
I'm top 1-10% on almost every track in every class with boat loads of perfect turns and passes. My drivatar only makes roughly 3k a day (usually 3 races a day), it seems like its going to need to be much more than that to ever get the 1 million achievement. Just so many things that really drive me nuts.Edited by Done Deal DR - 12/9/13 at 12:51pm
