Nice RLM review. I totally agree with what they said about what constitutes a good die hard movie. A good watch.

I just picked this up from Best Buy for $13 (they price matched Amazon). It's got to be worth $13, right? :-)

**** it, that's kind of cheap. I guess I'll get it then by doing the same thing.

Everybody is price-matching Target... their ad had this for $13... then Amazon matched... and BB will match too of course. I picked mine up at Target as a "thank you" for them setting the low-price bar on this one.

You can get it for $10 at Target if you sign up for their text coupons which has a $3 off coupon for DH5.

The extended version is different from the theatrical release so it's more of a directors cut..

Bruce is great, it has a very good assembled supporting cast with memorable characters, clever writing, beautiful cinematography and excellent stunts and action with strong direction. Sure some of the plot elements are recycled and redundant from the orignal, but its jammed packed entertainment as far as I'm concern. Die Hard 2 is now my favorite of all the sequels (of course the orignal overall is still the best.)
I watched A Good Day To Die Hard on Friday and Die Hard 2 last night. While I enjoyed some of the action scenes, A Good Day To Die Hard wasn't that great of a movie and is the worst of the series. Die Hard 2, on the other hand, was excellent and I like it every bit as much as Die Hard. Both of the first two movies were based on novels: Nothing Lasts Forever and 58 Minutes. Both novels involved a NYPD detective whose name was changed to John McClane for the movies. I like movies based on novels more than movies written just as screenplays. There seems to be more depth to the character development and a better plot.
