Yes it is........

2013 LG Plasma Lineup
PN4500 - 720P
PN6500 - 1080p
PN5700 - 1080P, Smart TV
PH6700 - 1080P, Smart TV, 3D

I dont know why people would come into a perfectly good thread and then add absolutely no value to it......

I just bought this the other day.....I live about 3 hours from the nearest MicroCenter and was able to get my local ABC Warehouse to give it to me for $650.....which I was told is $50 under cost(a guy I went to HS with sold it to me)....I couldn't be happier with it(and its still in the garage running the slideshows)

Discovered recently that on my Android phone and tablet, the YouTube and Netflix apps have a button that allows you to send a video to the LG TV. The TV will automatically launch the correct app and play the video. Note that you cant start the app and then press the button or it reports that the app is already in use. This makes it much easier to search or browse Youtube or Netflix for the video/movie using your tablet or phone rather than the TV remote.

I was seriously considering purchasing this TV in the near future, but I did have reservations in regards to how well "game mode" works, on this model. So, I was curious whether the method posted by enigma3319 is effective for other owners of this TV. I play mostly shooters and fighting games, so it definitely matters to me as well that performance is optimal. Thanks!

I have not tested yet, but will soon and will update with results

I received my code after about two days.
Are you sure you properly uploaded a scan of the receipt to them?
If you mailed it out, I assume it'll take quite a bit longer.

That's too bad.
The email with the code came from : lgelectronics@acbcoop.com
Maybe you can search your mail for that sender, or maybe you'll just have to contact LG customer support.

Good luck,

Has anyone had problems with the TV cutting off occasionally or the remote not working at all? You press the remote and you can't change the channels, change inputs nor increase/decrease volume. Sometimes there's a huge delay with the remote as well. Takes ~5 seconds before your command is noticed by the TV.

It's not the remote and it has new batteries. I have another magic remote from another LG LED TV and another remote from an acer TV that's compatible and they all exhibit the same delay/no response at times.

I'm likely to be in the market for a new 60" plasma, and the price point and reviews on this model are definitely attractive, despite my preference for Panansonic plasmas. I'm reading many posts about $600-$700 prices on this model, but the best i can find online is $849 - what gives?
I noticed that too. The prices on all plasma tvs have for some reason went up. Columbus day is a couple of weeks out, maybe the prices will drop around that time.

I don't have a Fry's near me but I do have a hhgregg. They currently have it for $950 but they price match amazon who has it for $850. I just bought a 10% off coupon for hhgregg off ebay for $2. I hope it all goes well cause it could walk out of the store with the tv for $765 before taxes.

It was on sale at Microcenter last month for $599.99

http://slickdeals.net/f/6188734-lg-60pn5700-60-plasma-1080p-smart-tv-built-in-wifi-600-microcenter-pickup?

Seems as if Micro Center doesn't carry the model anymore.

There seems to be a lot of large plasmas in that price range. SlickDeals usually has some good deals that pop up.

I really like this TV with the exception of it cutting off intermittently. I have a service call with LG, hopefully they can fix. I was able to eliminate the lag for great gaming. I also have a Panny 65GT30 and this is very comparable without the 3D and a little more glare in a room with a lot of windows. It really has a nice picture. I also have an LG LED tv and I like this plasma picture a lot better, especially for movies.

I should have mentioned that Fry's electronics usually have this TV for $699. I'm not sure if you have one in your area but you should be able to get Amazon to price match.

I have one right in my town, drive past it on the way to work and back every day. I checked their website first, as that's where I bought my current set almost 6yrs ago - but right now they are only offering $1,099 on the 60PN5700. Weird.
Just checked Microcenter website, and apparently, they no longer carry LG TVs. Closest one of those is Houston, then Dallas - I'm in Austin.
I heard Fry's had the TV for 699 this week It was the TV mentioned in their this week ad. I haven't verified it though. I would think if it was $599 that it will probably be much cheaper heading into the holidays. Walmart had a big sale on large TVs recently.

I'm not sure why Microcenter stopped selling all big LG TVs. They sold a bunch last month and abandoned them seemingly overnight???

I stopped in at Fry's in Austin on Monday evening - 60PN5700 was at some weird price like $838. Maybe they hadn't caught up to whatever their latest promos are - the TV section at our Fry's is pretty random - lots of empty slots, haphazard staging of the different brands and technologies, etc. $599 would be a killer deal on this TV though - it looked good in the store, playing one of the LOTR series, (all the TVs were playing the same movie). Anyway, to cut a long story short, my good experiences with Panasonic plasmas in the past led me to buy a 65S60 on Amazon. I could have saved a few hundred bucks and shopped for the 60PN5700, but it's a long term purchase and I'm sure I'll be happy with what I got.

You really can't go wrong with Panasonic. I love my Panny 65GT30. This LG is a good second choice especially if you can find it for cheap.

Newegg.com has this set for $699.99 after $150 rebate right now...

I just purchased this TV. I am really impressed. The color and smoothness are amazing.

I have not experienced any lag for gaming while on the xbox 360. One thing I have noticed is that the ABL is kicking in pretty hard for games. Causing them to look pretty dark.

Is this just because the panel has not been broken in? I have it connected via the HDMI port 2(PC).

FYI, the latest software update added Amazon Instant Video.
It added a couple more apps as well, or at least, some I hadn't seen previously like Crackle.
Still liking the TV, and now it's gotten a little better.

He, was just coming here to post the Amazon upgrade as well. I finally got my Netflix trial and watched a lot of breaking bad which they charge for on Amazon Prime. Aslo House of cards is realy good. Not a big fan of the remote though with my big fingers.

Could someone please post the best set of calibration settings they've used? I've looked through the thread and I'm not overly pleased with what I've gotten. (Perhaps not all the changed settings were posted)

You'll be better off using a THX disc, or some other calibration disc like "Spears and Munsil".
Variation between sets make this a really futile attempt.
Good luck.
