The solder work looks clean too. I'll be doing some searching for myself, but if you have a video or how to website you think is worthwhile, I'd love a link.
Apparently I forgot to order the tweeters for the Sten II's.. as I just installed 3 tweeters and have none left :/
Just as well, I also ran out of solder. I'm used to soldering regular components. Soldering these giant audio components takes a boatload of solder.
As for soldering tutorials, I know there are plenty on youtube. Soldering these components takes close to no skill (no chance of overheating anything), so I think these few tips would be enough:
-clean the tip and tin the iron before you use it
-touch the iron to the workpiece and "bridge" the heat by applying a small bit of solder between the tip and workpiece
-apply the solder to the workpiece a little bit away from the tip and allow the heat to draw the solder towards the tip (this also helps prevent cold joints)
Also, I did away with my nice soldering station and went to the big-mammer-jammer Weller soldering gun. I think it's about 100 jiggawatts and made short work of the soldering.
