Ordered. I mostly play PC games but I simply must be able to play Forza 5. I paid $500 for a PS3 with a 20G HDD seven years ago... $500 for the Xbox one seems reasonable.

I ordered one too. I guess I can cancel if I change my mind smile.gif

I sent the link to my girlfriend cause she has an Amazon account and I got back a "Nice, that's not a bad price at all..."

She has just put the shovel down and is now digging her hole with a backhoe.

Damn, I am such a sucker. I went ahead and pre-ordered it just in case, but I still want to see what Sony has up their sleeves.

Pre ordered. Looking forward to joining back up with the AVS for Battlefield 4.

Waiting to see what PS4 release price will be. If it's $400 or less then I'm sold on Sony.

http://news.xbox.com/2013/06/e3-xbox-one-pre-order

Following our Xbox E3 media briefing today, we were excited to hear from our friends at Amazon.com.

“We were thrilled by the unprecedented demand we saw for Xbox One today. In the first four hours of preorder availability, we sold through most of our Xbox One Day One Edition inventory. Customers eager to get an Xbox One should visit our store at Amazon.com/xboxone to ensure they keep up-to-date on the latest information. We are excited to be working with Microsoft to deliver the next generation of games and entertainment,” said John Love, Director of US Video Games & Software at Amazon.com.

It’s been an incredible day for Xbox and we’re grateful for your support.

Pre-orderd mine! I want 2 of them, but I think I'll wait a few months after launch to get a second one.

Pre-ordered this morning at work.

Saw the announcement about the price and DRM on PS4 this evening, cancelled my Xbox One pre-order and pre-ordered the PS4 instead.

I bought an original Xbox on launch day. I bought an Xbox 360 and endured the red ring of death. So far I'm just not seeing an exclusive on Xbox One that is worth their consumer-hostile policies. Ugh.

Which websites still have pre-orders available?

I'm pretty sure Amazon completely sold out of their allotment. Not sure about all the other guys.

Looks like Amazon still has pre-orders

Still ?

Wow. I wonder if they are just selling unlimited number of pre-orders, and some of their customers will end up needing to wait for a 2nd or 3rd shipment.

The local GameSpot near my house only had 8 preorders for that location. I actually pre-ordered mine at a GameStop near a friends house, but I don't know how many total they had available. Still, it seems like GameStop was pretty cautionary about not offering too many pre-orders, but these other online places are just continuously offering them. You'd think all this would have dried up by now.

I'm guessing they had a ton of cancellations after the PS4 announcement last night. There's at least 2 of us just in this thread that preordered the Xbone and then cancelled in favor of the competition.

Was thinking about preordering through Best Buy, but if I do in-store pickup - they say it will be available Dec 31st. Any worries that this is them being safe and not guaranteeing a system on release date? Or is this just an outdated placeholder?

The GF preordered on amazon and we have an expected delivery of 1-6-14. Now I will try to get my hands on a second one on launch day.
FYI, Amazon is only out of stock on the "Day One" edition. They still have the standard edition.

Pretty sure it's just a place holder date...actually, is there even an official date yet?

Pre-ordered mine from the Microsoft store.

I aint mad at MS for the $499 price. I guess its a wait and see as to what day it arrives at my home, actual launch or a few days after.

Amazon was out of Day One edition pre-orders yesterday, but have them again today. FYI if you are thinking about pre-orders.

Got 3 Xbox Ones on Pre-order and 2 PS4s. Not for resell but to go along side my current systems.

Off topic posts removed. It's an XBox thread. Not PS4.
