Actually the wife told me tonight that I might not be able to play "my games" until after Christmas. Apparently I have big plans. We'll see.cool.gif

First of all...

Viagra. All this talk about suppressors reminds me of this conversation I had with a co-worker a year or so ago about Viagra.

Our conversation basically began with me saying, "IDK, I've been hearing Viagra can mess your **** up."

Shortly after I had some possible scenarios explained to me with the guy basically ending the conversation with, "So yeah, Viagra has its moments."

I was like, "yeah, I understand now...viagra does sound like it has its moments".

I, basically, feel the same way about suppressors. You don't want to use them all the time, but there are times that come up when there is the perfect time to use them...almost a necessity sort of....(lol...you had to be there for the story...)

Second... ....Cakes

How long have we been playing with Lazy...a couple years. How long has he been hiding this Cake thing. There really isn't much you can say, just for some damn reason it is absolutely hilarious. Just the way he threw it out there or something.

I honestly can't think of a joke for it, but everytime I think about his first post about baking cakes, tears come to my eyes. I honestly think it is because he kept it from us this long. I mean, I like a good cake and have known a good baker in the past...just not sure why this made me laugh so hard. Probably because it came out of nowhere. Then the backup he got from Pendragoon didn't help...just made me laugh harder. (btw....I love Chinese food and would love to cook like my local favorite, but have come up short in the past...http://orientalwok.com/)

LOL, I got on tonight and...well...basically I just couldn't play. I was ruined. Just laughing at Hapi trying to defend his West Coast suppressor play style. (btw his condo butts up agains Sports Illustrated swimsuit models' condos I think...) Throw in Lazy and Pendragoon defending Cake baking and cooking in general, and...I just lost it and was completely ruined for the night. Thanks. At least to start off this next week in which I am "not allowed to play my games", I don't have my usual pissed off ready to kick some ass "ready to play" attitude. It's more of a, "I couldn't play if I wanted too" attitude.

BTW, I think I have to now, officially delete my "remember AVS BF3 360" logo and replace it with some..."I like to bake cakes" and "you go bro...bake your cakes and cook your food like you like it man" quotes.

Does anyone know of any Battle Pack codes for the PS4?

Speaking of Battle Packs... has the issue with veteran battle packs ever been resolved? I don't care about the vet pack for my XB1 soldier as he is well leveled, but starting on a fresh PS4 soldier, I wondered if a Vet Pack might be helpful.

Also, can anyone who knows post a run down on which types of 3rd party battle pack codes can be used multiple times? For instance, the code you get from let's say slim jim, you can only use one per EA account, right? I wondered if most other codes are the same? I assume if you have to enter the code on Origin, it's single use. But if you enter the code in the game, can you use as many as you can acquire?

I have also been thinking hard about how I want to start this PS4 soldier. Support C4 was the most fun for me over on the XB1. I may have to grind that class right off, running the AK-5C so I have a good gun as I also level the other class kits. Although I am real tempted to run the "campaign" M249. smile.gif

Is the best way to level ... to run support or assault on the indoor maps where dropping ammo/med kits get used more easily. Then run the engineer where I could hop in a vehicle with an AVS vehicle HO, i mean expert, and toss out the heals as needed. And lastly, I'm thinking a CQB ReCon kinda works anywhere.

I have not played my XB1 soldier in awhile and I'm getting real excited to start BF4 on the PS4. I hope the game arrives today or tomorrow. smile.gif

If it makes you feel better MPH I'm about to make some chocolate chip pancakes for me and the kids. Dont forget no boxed stuff here. You want me to overnight some for you? Oh thats right you might not have time to eat. It reminds of that quote on the movie Old School

Me - "Hey MPH can you play video games this weekend."

MPH - "Well, um, actually I dont know, the wife and I have a pretty busy weekend, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time."

Neo, again, if the kids behave I will be on this afternoon.

Man you guys are making me hungry! Do we need to make a BF4 recipes thread?
We're playing a game that requires shooting people in the face. Hoping not to see any truffle recipes here.

Oh c'mon harp, you know the bf thread discusses everything and anything. We are really close to discussing just about everything we can that's not about bf.

Rare sighting last night in battlefield. I think I took the perfect screenshot. He got the kill and the casing is still in mid-air. I call it Sneaxus

Ha, well we still need to do the c4 birthday cake trolling! We definitely don't need food recipies taking us off topic we already have other games, football, PC stuff, beer, Bourbon, whiskey and lawnmowers.

True...the Viagra reference definitely came out of left field earlier. No lines shall be crossed here.

Nice screenshot. I need to find a noob guide to this whole sharing thing. I want to start recording.

Yes, the best way to level up vehicles is from the gunner's seat, and hopping out and repairing. You'll unlock things quick with an experienced driver.

Always best to run with your teammates, so if you're medic, you'll have many opportunities to revive if you can stay alive.

Speaking of Viagra, I was in a deli in a surly part of town here (they make great corned beef sandwiches) and this guy was in there talking about the generic Viagra that he sold. Then another guy, who couldn't have been much older than I am (I'm 28), piped up and really wanted him to bring it in and sell it tomorrow. It was weird, really really weird.

Back on topic, I feel like I'm way worse at this game than I was at BF3. Maybe it's because I'm fooling around with this recon stuff all the time, or that I'm using choppers and I can't hit the broad side of a barn, but I feel like I die so much more than I used to. I think I only have 2 MVP ribbons (I just checked Battlelog, I have 4) and I am just an atrocity in tanks. I can't keep a tank up to save my life.

I really like the game, but I am missing one thing - where's Siene Crossing and Grand Bazaar? We (Lazy, MPH, and myself) were mentioning last night that the maps are all really heavy vehicle maps except for Locker and Guilin Peaks. Those were two of my favorite maps in BF3 because they combined vehicle and infantry based combat well. In this game, ti's all vehicles all the time. Maybe that's why the vehicles are so easy to take down and there are so many noob lock-on weapons smile.gif now?

I'd be willing to bet there are more people that don't need Viagra taking it then there are that need it. It's like double xp weekend in the sack.

I think DICE is in a lose lose situation with the maps. Hardcore PC players bitched the maps were too small and we got Armored Kill. Thinking that's the reason we only see 2 infantry based maps. I'd include Dawnbreaker as a smaller semi infantry based map. Hoping we see a Bazaar type map pack. We'll get Metro back soon.

I'd like to see BC3 scratch that infantry, smaller scale mix.

Shmoop...don't forget you're competing with 63 other people for MVP now. It took me a solid 50-75 hours for BF4 to start clicking with me. I sucked to start...slowly getting more comfortable now.

This. The game knocked me down a few notches as well.

Still trying out different configs, settings, and slowly getting better.

Thanks for the confirmation. USPS tracking says I will have my copy of BF4/PS4 on Monday. So much for expedited shipping. frown.gif

I like the larger maps too, but I'd just like more maps that cater to infantry without having to play Battlefield of Duty (domination/TDM).

I was hoping after BF3 my "getting to know you" period with BF4 would be shorter or non-existent. However, the game mechanics changed a lot and it is taking me a while to get used to them. It also doesn't help that I'm always playing with you guys. I'll be walking around playing my game and enjoying myself, then I'll look at Trail's score and see that he's 30-5 while I'm 10-10, ha (true story). It took me a long while to get proficient in BF3, I guess I have a while more to go.
