I doubt that MGM or Fox would strike new 35mm prints for an old movie like this. They're trying to move away from 35mm altogether. The current trend in revival screenings has all been digital. There's just too much expense in shipping film prints around, and one-off showings don't generate enough income to justify it.
In a best case scenario, it might be a DCP from the same master as the Blu-ray. Depending on the venue, it might be satellite streaming (like Fathom events) or the theater may just play the Blu-ray.
If this is a smaller, repertory type theater, they might be screening a vintage 35mm print. If that were the case, that would be your only chance to hear the original mono soundtrack. Lord knows how battered and damaged the print probably is, though.
