It didn't look like it to me: Hulu+ only ... Any how, the latest TiVo search last night showed that they were available on Amazon HD ... so I suppose there's that option. It's more likely I'll just learn to live with the missing 30 minutes. wink.gif

Furthermore, there's no indication that they'll repeat the final 6 episodes on the conventional channel (You all were warned in plenty of time.)

All I want is the first 30 minutes of "Sound of Thunder: Part Duex" ... lost due to rain fade ... any other show and you'd at least get a second chance to catch it ...

It's $3 for the HD version of the epsiode on Amazon. If i had only recorded half of it, i would have been searching for it on Amazon and Vudu right away. Of course after you watch it you will be even more pissed because there is no season 2 coming.
Of course there are probably other means to find it.

I know with the original Primeveal, I caught up with the show and then since the last season was delayed in the US, I found the HD episodes online from the Canada(or was it the UK?) broadcast to watch. I don't usually do that. But I wanted to continue watching the show after watching several seasons in only a week . And I didn't want to wait several months for it to air in the US.

Well ... point is I did get the *last* 30 minutes ... so, as of now, it's no different than if I took one of my all too frequent "power naps." It's not worth paying another $3.00.

As for season 2 ... as I said before (in spoiler tags) Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
It looks like the plot lines being set up were going to parallel the original UK series ... same thing only different.

All the finale marathon did was to remind me how much I miss "Eureka."

One thing that did annoy me a bit was they seem to have forgotten that the anomalies are "magnetic" and would therefore tend to attract iron based objects.

I really enjoyed the show and especially the last five eps. I thought it was getting better and better, sad that they cancelled it mad.gif

I agree. It was really starting to grow on me. I was caring about the company going out of business, and the various relationships. The anomaly "stuff" was getting pretty good too. Sigh... frown.gif

I see what they did now with the guide schedule! Just watched the third-from-the-end (the pre-penultimate?) ep and that was "The Great Escape" with the poor, late Leggy. They just mixed up the episode order, so I'm guessing the last one will in fact be "The Sound of Thunder pt. 2". My apologies to all who were offended. redface.gif

And it is improving now that they seem to have some overall arc involving the ARC. Unfortunately, too little too late. Should have woven that thread in from the start instead of a murky "dino-of-the-week" format. Like Leggy, we needed a little less filler, a little more meat.

Finally finished watching them all. No question this last stretch, about the time they canned it, were getting stronger and stronger. Finally a connection to the British ARC and the previous series, and a compelling long-form story arc. What a shame they couldn't have begun just as strongly. Gosh, how many times have we said that about a serialized genre show like this after a quick cancellation? rolleyes.giffrown.gif

Well here's my problem with that. wink.gif Not only do they establish a "connection" to the UK series, they pretty much borrow and set up for the same exact plot lines (just with slightly different characters and a few gender changes. wink.gif ) So, at this point, I would suggest just re-watching the UK series and you'll be all set. smile.gif

Not the exact same plotlines. Especially regarding the first season, which was the best IMO. But the jettisoned some of the best characters (Cutter & Helen) & plotline after that season and it kind of went downhill from there. Nevertheless, this season showed promise if they had continued on the trajectory they were on by the end. But I suspect at this point, we've seen the last 'Primeval' there's ever going to be.

I may have to suck it up and pay Amazon $3 to see the final episode. I enjoyed this show.

Well, you could always sign up for a trial to Hulu Plus. I've had Hulu Plus for several years, I don't use it that much, but it's worth(to me) $8 a month to watch odds and ends. I've watched a couple of South Korean series, that aren't available elsewhere, it was the only place I could find the first season of Starhunter(unfortunately it's not there anymore).

I loves me some man-eatin' dinos. Everybody loves dinos. So why did Terra Nova and Primeval get cancelled? Really, if you've got dinosaurs, what else do you need? (Okay, teed that one up for you. tongue.gif )

Terra Nova . Yup, I agree. And the spider song was what, just a bonus or something? biggrin.gif

I'm one of the few that really enjoyed Terra Nova. I have all of the episodes in clean 720p (a 1080p version has never been released, yet). I even scored a Terra Nova backpack from Fox (long story).

I watched this series long before it appeared here in the states. I liked it as well and was pissed when I read that it was canceled and really pissed when I watched the series ending cliffhanger.

And yes, I've watched, and have all of the UK releases of the original series.

Oh, and since there has been discussion about episode titles, here is the list:
Code:
1 1-01 29/Oct/12 The New World
2 1-02 05/Nov/12 Sisiutl
3 1-03 12/Nov/12 Fear of Flying
4 1-04 19/Nov/12 Angry Birds
5 1-05 26/Nov/12 Undone
6 1-06 03/Dec/12 Clean up on Aisle Three
7 1-07 10/Dec/12 Babes in the Woods
8 1-08 17/Dec/12 Truth
9 1-09 22/Jan/13 Breakthrough
10 1-10 29/Jan/13 The Great Escape
11 1-11 05/Feb/13 The Inquisition
12 1-12 12/Feb/13 The Sound of Thunder, Part 1
13 1-13 19/Feb/13 The Sound of Thunder, Part 2

I just finished watching the marathon of episodes. Luckily I did look up how many episodes there were and forced my DVR to record the series finale even though the guide that it was another episode.

The first and last episodes all connected. I was sure Mac was going to realize he had to borrow an ARC outfit to keep the timeline straight. He also would need Toby's prototype device. I guess missing those two items changed things somehow.

It appears that Space Channel cancelled it on 21 February - even before SyFy aired one episode. It was still in the middle of its UK run, though. I can't help but think that if SyFy had aired it concurrently and actually promoted it, then maybe it would have been saved.
