I have HK connected via HDMI to Samsung

I have Arris connected via HDMI to HK

I have Blu-Ray connected via HDMI to HK

I have XBOX connected via Optical Cable to HK and via HDMI to TV (HDMI 2)

Is there a more preferred set up method? Any tips greatly appreciated.

HK HDMI switching is kind of annoying.

Congrats on your system! Must sound nice!

If you don't mind I'd like to make some suggetions for further audio improvement as follows:

1. I would pull the front L&Rs a bit more apart in order to enlarge front stage imaging.

2. I would angle (toe-in) the front L&Rs to make the face seated ear height at the MLP (Main Listening Position). Speakers always produce their highers SPL (Sound Pressure Level) and widest frequency range when on-axis to the MLP.

3. I would take the sub out of the corner coz that place can easily result in "boomy" bass. Better would be to swap the front R tower with the sub.

Whaddaya think? smile.gif

Nice setup, now you need to centre everything more, you're speakers are off centre from your tv, as Mogorf said spread them out more for better sound, I would also get rid of those candles on top of your woofer, don't they rattle? And last do a little cable organizing with those cables on the floor. wink.gif as for the HDMI switching, get a Logitech Harmony one remote. Press one button and changes activities and done.

Nice, thanks for sharing.
Those towers look sweet and I bet they would look even better naked (as in no grills) so more pictures, we love them and this thread sure could use some more.
Agreed, spreading out the front speakers and toeing them in towards the MLP can really make a huge difference in the sound

After pressing Watch TV on Harmony One and I am watching TV I see IMAGE 1 on HK

IMAGE 1 is what I see if things are working.

After pressing Play XBOX Harmony One and Its switching I see IMAGE 2 on HK (and there's a delay...and sometimes it doesn't switch properly, and I have to hit HELP on remote to get things right)

IMAGE 2 is also what I see if things are working properly for XBOX, but before that, things get slow, and quite often I have to hit help on remote, because of images 3 + 4.

Image 4 is what I see when I click to switch back to TV on HK
