Hi, I've been using my UMC-200 to play PS3 recently and I'm not sure which option will offer me the truest to source experience.

I have a couple options and a few questions that go along with them. Firstly, my system composes of 2 Front Towers and a subwoofer. There are no more channels, so it's pure 2.1.

PS3 gives me the option of Stereo (which to my experience lacks a dedicated LFE channel), Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1, and PCM Linear 5.1

As of now, I've been using PCM 5.1 as I assumed my UMC-200 would know to combine the rear channels properly into the fronts (as it does display 3/2 Ch + LFE). This way I get my stereo and dedicated LFE.

I'm not sure if this has been the best option, if it's better to go with the simple Stereo option then I'll switch over. My fear is that there are sounds I'm not hearing because I'm playing a 5.1 source.

I don't understand why PCM doesn't have a 2.1 stream, only a 2.0.

Correct me on anything if I'm wrong and if I should switch to a different source. Thanks!
