interesting problem i have

Thread Starter
for my computer,i want to use a lepai amp and some bs21 bookshelf speakers i own.

my computer has only one headphone jack output. id like to be able to use the speakers and also be able to switch to headphones whenever i want to.

i have some very old computer speakers that sound terrible, and id have to use the amp in the computer, but i can plug in my headphones into the speakers. i cant do that with the lepai amp and bs21 bookshelves. is there an adapter or switcher i should be looking at maybe? id like to buy from monoprice.

A Y-adapter should suffice...

Better yet, use an amp with a headphone output.

Also keep in mind that headphones sound best when driven by an amp designed for their impedence. While speakers are 4-16 ohms, headphones can be 16-300 ohms. It's not a questoin if they work, but rather how well...

HAve fun,
Frank
