Jamo 5 Piece Home Theater Vs. Pioneer Andrew Jones

So as the title suggests I have decided on two speakers sets.

I have looked at both because they are in my budget range (400.00). The problem is, I do not live in an area with a best buy, so i cannot try these speakers out for myself. I need help from the AVS forums. Given a choice between these two speaker brands and sets, which one would you suggest i take and why? Do you think i should use both brands together? If you find a different set & brand that might be better within 400 dollar range, please let me know!!

I will link both sets below:

I haven't heard the Jamo speakers, but the Pioneers have a huge following here and I think they sound great. There aren't many speakers than can beat them in terms of value. If you have a tigerdirect store near you, they also carry them.

I would go post in the Pioneer owner's thread and ask if anyone has heard that Jamo speaker set and if they can offer any comparisons.

I suggest that you get four of the Pioneer BS-22 speakers and the CS-22 center speaker.

You should read the article on the BS-22 in the current article of Stereophile magazine.

Amazon is currently selling the Pioneer BS-22 for the incredibly low price of $110 per pair, and the CS-22 for around $150.

The Jamo speakers are fair, but these Pioneer speakers are much much better-sounding speakers.

I have listened to the Jamo s426 and Pioneer speakers at my local Fry's. I think the Pioneers are clearly better speakers.

You should be able to get two FS52's, one C22 center and two BS22's for under $400.

The tease is that you can get the Jamo s426 in wenge color for $180. Then you can add a subwoofer for $220 or less.

Well it seems unanimous that people are in favor of the pioneers, so I think I will go with those! biggrin.gif

Thank you for your help! I know I can't try them out, but I have no reason to doubt you guys. smile.gif

Really? Cause current Amazon is selling the Bs-22 for 127.49.

You need to live by a Fry's Electronics. Friday's sale has the towers for $77 each and the bookshelf speakers for $77/pr.

Check places like Best Buy, TigerDirect, Amazon, etc. Most of them will price match each other so you can get a good price and take it to Best Buy and go home with your new system.
