Will you be buying DD now so you can fast switch between games, or are you going to buy physical games with "hopeful" resell ability.

I had planned to buy physical games until the change MS made. Now I will only be buying digital downloads for the next gen systems.

Same. one of the the things I like about DD. Is if forr some reason you sell your xbox one or its gets stolen you still have all your games waiting for you in the cloud when you come back.

I dont trade in games but I do like to be able to loan them (ironically to get more of my non-gamer friends to game) so I am torn. I am heavily leaning to DD only though and just lending out my old 360 games. I like the ability to not have to change disks when I want to change games and the fast switching.

DD only........

DD only as well. Been enjoying this with Steam and no worries about cases or disc damage.

How does this thread have some 70+ reads and only 13 responses to the poll?

I almost always sell my old system along with the games when I upgrade to a newer console. The choice is even easier given no backward compatibility.

DD for me!

DD only for me.

You can keep those dusty azz disc. Nothing else but something to lose, scratch, break, steal, misplace, switch, put in the tray, take out the tray, pile up, store and gather dust.

With the exception of gaming discs for my console.. I havent bought any other optical disc media since 2005. I still have 500+ DVD's in like new condition, sitting in the cases with all documentation that nobody wants.

Whoever thought it would take THIS long for day one digital downloads to come to gaming.

Well considering alot of people still have slower internet speeds than I had back in 1998, it's not a surprise. I had 5mbps down and 1mbps up in 1998. Although I'm currently on the FiOS 150/65 tier so I'm not going to be worried about the DD as long as they have the bandwidth for me to max my download speed. Which will still take some time to download a title.

It will be interesting to see what kind of speed we can get for DD.
