Will my PC be good enough for the new GTX 760?

Over the past few months I have been looking to build a gaming PC/HTPC. The PC will be used to game on my 1080p projector. I was originally planning on buying and i5-3570k and a new z77 motherboard. But I was given a i5-2320 for free about a month ago. So I guess my question is will the i5-2320 with my current H77 motherboard be fine with the GTX 760? Thanks

Should be fine, it's a quad @ 3.0Ghz. It's not the best thing, and the 3570K would be better, but for now it should be fine. Just upgrade later.

You'll be CPU limited here and there, but it will work fine and will be a bit quicker than the cheaper GTX 660. There will be a noticeable difference in smoothness moving up to a newer i5 and you'll be able to hit 60fps a lot more reliably with a newer/faster i5, but it will still work just fine.

Rough numbers? You'll see a lot more common sustained dips in to the 45-50fps range with the 2320, whereas you would be able to hold a pretty stable 60fps with occasional 55fps dips at the same settings with a 3570/4670.

I have one other question for you guys. I have never bought a gaming card but I have been doing alot of reading. I am wondering which you guys would prefer.

MSI N760
Gigabyte windforce 3x
EVGA Superclocked ACX Cooling

Thanks

Well according to techpowerup.com, they scored the cards like this:

MSI = 9.2
EVGA = 9.0
GIG= 9.1
Asus=9.1

No idea which versions as I didn't read any of the reviews. Just looked at the list of reviews.

A 760 is a 760. Pick the one that has two fans for cooling and is the cheapest.

There is a nice review over at PC per. They also talk about the new card in podcast #257.

Edit: check out the sli benchmarks, there only 1080p but dang.

edit2: Toms has all the cards listed.

so do we buy two 760's or one 770 or a 600 series with 4 gb of memory ?

seems like a new card comes out every three months. Glad I didn't put money down on that 680 I was looking at.

will this push the price of the 650 ti boost even lower, will amd have to lower their prices ?

Thanks I read all of that stuff. I was talking to my friend about my new card and he asked me if I wanted to sell my I5-2320 and MB to him. So I just bought a 3570k and an asrock extreme4 and it only cost me $150. I cant wait for everything to get here and up and running.

there is a 4gb version of this card out now.

sli benchmarks show two of these beating a single Titan card.
