Elite Cinetension2 Drop Length

I know there are multiple threads on raising the drop, but I cant find any information on lowering the drop of this screen. I know you use the allen screws inside the screen, but my question is it possible to lower the screen by say another 6 inches or so? Elite sent me the instructions and it claims that the screen is set to its maximum drop but looking inside the casing there is at least another full rotation of black wrapped around the motor. Has anyone actually tried to lower it further? How much drop needs to remain wrapped on the motor?

Bump. Hoping someone has some experience with this.

When I googled your screen I came upon a video posted by one of our members here showing how to shorten the drop http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtAB8Ra_2Co

Oops. I think I posted the opposite of what you wanted.

No problem. I saw that video as well. I spoke with Elite and they said the new policy of voided warranties for drop adjustment (either up or down) was due to the number of damage screens as a result. I still get the feeling that the motor damage line is a scare tactic to prevent you from trying to over adjust the bottom drop causing the screen to come out too far and then wrap back around the other side of the roller. I have read about this happening on other screens. Hopefully someone will chime in with drop adjustments on this screen soon. I would love to have just a few more inches out of it. Although even if i can safely lower the screen a few more inches I am not sure it is worth voiding the warranty.
