Hello everybody, this would be my first post after endless nights of reading the forums since I fell into the audio world. I am torn between the purchase of the AR P428PS and Athena's AS-F2. I mostly want these loud speakers for music(rock, hip hop, blues, jazz, classical) and the occasional movie or two. Does anybody have experience with these two speakers? Which would you recommend keeping in mind that the price of the speakers is roughly the same?

Some specs:
Acoustic Research
"The four-way P428PS from AR is a floor standing tower speaker which utilizes a built-in, rear firing powered subwoofer for low frequency reproduction down to a rumbling 28Hz. The slim profile front houses a 1" polycarbonate tweeter, a 5" Uni-cone midrange, and a separate 8" woofer. The rear 8" subwoofer is powered by a 120 watt amplifier." Others have noted that the 28Hz is closer to 38Hz.

Athena
Two-way, reflex-loaded, floorstanding loudspeaker. Drive-units: 1" "Teteron"-dome tweeter, two 8" plastic-cone woofers. Crossover Frequency: 2kHz. Frequency response: 35Hz-20kHz, ±3dB. Sensitivity: 93dB. Power handling: 250Wpc.

I currently have a yamaha rx-v673 receiver, which I want to get rid of due to lack of pre outs and the want of more power, and a pair of polk's Rti8. Maybe pick up Harman Kardon's 3490 after I sell the yamaha reciever. Anyway, the room measures 23 x 16 x 9 feet. Also, I'm still missing a subwoofer but will get one soon. Thank you in advance for any input.
