hi guys..i have a sunfire subwoofer that the amp needs repair..comes on but no sound...cant find the schematics nor is sending it back to sunfire corp an option...looking at the plate amp it seems the x-over section is a standalone board and the guy that checked it said its the amp board thats the problem...now...can i remove the crossover board..the power supply and build myself a standalone crossover unit and use it with a NAD 218thx amp i have laying around to power a dyi dual 10 sunfire sub?...i know a guy who can build the metal case...and wud have the volume..crossover freq...phase..backlit on/off switch and video contour switch on the front....and have the input /output section and fuse on the back...is this a worthwhile project?

I don't see the point in doing this unless you want to tinker with something. You probably could use some kind of potentiometer to control the lfe signal. The crossover can be done on the receivers end. Phase can be done by reversing the speaker wires (0 and 180).
