Velodyne Optimum 12 automatically turns itself on

I'm running in to an issue with my Velodyne Optimum 12 sub...... when using auto on/off feature the sub when off will randomly turn itself on even though the pioneer receiver it is hooked up to is off. Very perplexing to me..... why would it turn on even though receiver is off? I'm using LFE output on receiver and would expect that when receiver is off there would be no signal coming out to trigger sub to turn on. Any thoughts?

Sounds like some sort of amp issue. I would give Vel a call or post in the Vel thread. confused.gif

Try disconnecting the LFE input cable for a bit and seeing if the same thing happens. The LFE cable is an antennae and while unlikely, there is a chance it could be picking up some signal that is strong enough to trip the wakeup feature. The other possibility is the another device, such as a cablebox with a DVR built in is powering on to record a show and is sending a ground surge through the interconnects. In either case disconnecting this electrical connection will tell us if the problem is triggered by other components or is internal to the subwoofer.
