While all of these things may get resolved through hardware upgrades for the projector, it is a lot of money to place in the hope that a company does the "right" thing.

UK consumers are really pissed right now because Sony also sell that projector here, and they have started selling 4K flat panels. However Sony has said they are not bringing the 4K media server to the UK and they have no plans to roll-out 4K material via the PS4 when released either outside of the US.

The head of Sony HE needs to make the same public statement about guaranteeing future 4K compatibility on the projector as they did this past week for the 4K TV sets. But in the same breath they also announce the UK get's no 4K love from the hockey puck?

I'd be more interested in a guarantee for an HDMI 2.0 update vs. compatibility with the 4k streamer. otherwise folks are stuck watching Sony studio releases for the foreseeable future.

HD-DVD vs. BD looks like a party compared to the current state of affairs.

That will I expect change once the hardware compatibility issues between the server and the displays are rectified.
