Did Tom have you take yours out to check?
I am very new to these sub/amp enclosures (active) with DSP and limiters etc... so I'm not sure what sounds like what when what is happening. DId that make sense?
Anyways... It would seem that if the amps are getting enough AC volts, and nothing is wrong with the signal... when a person turns the volume up 5db several times with hardly any movement in output would be a limiter kicking in. If it was not the limiter the speakers would, especially in a ported enclosure, get destroyed.
That's just what it seems to me.... I could be way off.
