Finally got my new projector, LP530. So I'm experimenting with where to hang/position the unit. According to my calculations it should be set about 14ft. from the screen. The problem is that the unit would then hang in front of the seating area. The room is 18ft. long and the seating area is going to be about 17ft. from the screen. I'm trying for a 100" diagonal screen size.
I tried placing the unit via a jury rigged mount at the back wall. The image, with no zoom, is obviously bigger than the 100" diagonal screen size I have to work with. So what am I not "getting" here?? Is the 3ft distance difference making that much of a difference in image size? Do I need to look into a "long throw" lens to get the 100" diagonal size I'm shooting for?
Any help in providing some enlightenment would be most appreciated...:)
thanks....
