Using a double din stereo and a 1/2 din equalizer.

Thread Starter
I am looking to upgrade my head unit in my car and i am also thinking about buying a equalizer. ( i will put links at the end of the post incase that is needed.) will i be able to put a double din and a 1/2 din in a 2004 ford explorer without doing any cutting out of my dash or anything? just simply buy a double din mount and put that and the equalizer in? is there any special mounts that are needed for doing so? Thanks for any help

Short answer yes you will have problems

http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-DEH-80PRS-Receiver-Crossover-Alignment/dp/B006Y44DAY/ref=sr_1_14?s=car&ie=UTF8&qid=1373003936&sr=1-14&keywords=Pioneer

This will do what you want and a bit more.

Or just choose a double din or go with a single din and the eq.
