OK I'm a bit confused now. If it's the One dashboard and the beta is happening on the 360, does that mean the 360 and the One will have the same dashboard once the One is out? If not, what will happen to the beta tester's 360s, will they be rolled back to an older dashboard after the beta is over?

Yes they said the 360 will get an update this fall to the new dashboard.

With the Beta aren't they doing away with MS points? Will a person still be able to redeem point cards if they get in the beta?

Does that mean current Kinect 1.- users will be getting Skype?
Skype with the current Kinect would be a nice replacement for Live Messenger especially considering Microsoft forced everyone to switch over to Skype and discontinued Live Messenger.

I've noticed that newer items in the games store will default to real money but there's an option by pressing X at the pay screen to pay with MS points should you have some(assuming it's allowed). I'm assuming that will continue with the new dash and with the One this fall.

How are you notified if you got in the beta?

You would have a "Beta" menu item on your Xbox 360. It would show up in the main menu where you have Home, Games, and etc.

Just got the beta downloaded on two of my consoles. Was just the initial roll out so no changes except the beta page for now.

There were some minor changes but we would need to discuss that on the Xbox Private forums... The changes are not obvious, as of yet.

But this is a public beta and we don't have NDAs so we shouldn't have any issues discussing anything openly.

Someone didn't read what they agreed to... :0

You did agree to an NDA by joining the public beta. So we cannot....

I see I guess after years of going to connect.microsoft I was used to that method. I just ran to each of my consoles and added them into the beta. Got the link for the forum?
