I have a mx900 and a mx3000 I bought from Tweeter when they went under and have never got to use them as I found the needed software WASN"T included:rolleyes: so they just got put back in the "I'll get back to that pile"tongue.gif My harmony finaly gave out so now I'm back trying to put these in use. Do all the remotes use the same programes or are they setup for just that class ,ie. 880-900 ect.? If I buy one from someone with the included software can I then use it to program my other remotes? any help or tips are greatly apprecated

Any help from urc users? Surely some are experienced at programming more than one model?

They use different software, so you would need separate software for each.

So I will have to hunt down a copy for the MX3000 and a different copy for the mx900 ? how about if I get a 400 ? do the accessory's like the 350 base and 260 need their own software ? I had a whole house setup with 4 of the Monster remotes [ re branded Harmonys ]and liked it pretty well but they are getting flake and from adding pieces to some of my neighbors system the URC seems more robust

The 400 requires software programming. The 350 and 260 do not require programming, you program the remote to access them.

Yes, you would need unique software for both the MX-3000 and the MX-900. You don't really program the MRF-350 or 260. When you program the remote you tell the remote to use RF and give it an ID that you physically set on the back of the RF bases. You also tell which emitter to use for the components. By 400 did you mean their MSC-400? If so, you do actually program that using their CCP software.

I'm in need of the dedicated MX900 software for an older remote. URC no longer has it on their website. Any help would be appreciated (even a link to d/l)?

Thanks,
Brian
