But I used the * key as a . (i.e.: for entering 6.2 for example). That is why I used the green key for aspect ratio and moved the search function to the Dish key labeled aptly "Search".
Yes, you need to enter all the keys at one time - once it's over, it's over. And it does time out, so you need to have nerves of steel. I have the whole thing written out so I just need to follow the script - no way it can be done from memory.
Lastly, I thought about mapping Input to Input too late. That will probably work, but since it's a TV function, it depends on whether the Dish remote can learn all keys except one from one code set, and one from another code set. I'll try it when I have the time to go through the whole teaching exercise again (actually, I think I'll try it first on the DVD mode, just teaching input and one of the DVR+ keys to make sure both will function, before I go and do the whole nine yards again on AUX).UPDATE: I tried it and it does work (Input -> Input, DVR ->DVR); Input changed my TV's input, DVR brought up the recording list.
