If anyone was curious about how they A5's look right out of the box, are are like me and just like looking at other peoples setups I have posted pictures and video at the Audio Insider forum:

Hope the albums work, I'll post a new video once they are broken in, though of course that is subjective to my camera's mic.

Nice videos and photo set.. you can definitely tell the A5's are top speakers for the money. Are those custom wood pedestals you have them standing on?

Yes I built them from scratch, two pieces of oak sanded with 60, then 160, then 240 grit I believe? Then I treated them with three coats of mahogany stain, and used a gorilla glue variant to glue them together. I had originally separated the top piece of the stand with three PVC pipes painted black, but had to remove them since these speakers are taller than the original ones I was going to buy.

nice, at first I thought they were a pair of butcher blocks.

Haha, actually butcher blocks would be a quick clean looking way to do this, never thought of that.. But there is something satisfying about building things with your own hands. If you are interested in seeing how they play in the new home theater I am building take a look at this thread!:

Thanks! I hope the community feels the kindness to help me in my theater build, then I can give these beauties a nice new home. Just purchased two A1B's and a A2C from Aus, they should be on the way today!
