Suggestions for next upgrade

My current setup consists of:

AV/R - Pioneer Elite SC-25
Fronts - Defintive Studio Monitor 450s
Center - Definitive CS-8080HD
Surrounds - Boston Acoustic Horizon 460's
Sub - DIY 15", sealed enclosure, Crown XLS 2000 amp

Well I have been bitten with the upgrade bug pretty badly and I'm working with a roughly $2000 budget.

So my thoughts on the next upgrade is either

A. 2nd sub

B. New AVR (One with Audyssey MultiEQ XT32 and Sub EQ HT)

C. New fronts (3 way towers preferably)

What would you guys suggest going off my budget?

Thanks for any help guys!

In what area do you think you're lacking? I would definitely go with room treatment if you have none.

A newer receiver with the latest Audyssey would be a nice improvement as well but I would start with the room treatment first if anything.

Bass traps and acoustic panels can help smooth out peaks and nulls and alleviate early reflections.
Check with GIK Acoustics for more info if needed.

Thanks for the suggestion! I do rent a duplex though so there would be nothing permanent as far as room treatment would go, I'm not sure how that all works?

I agree that acoustic treatment will give you more improvement than pretty much any other upgrade. It's not as complicated as many people think, and it doesn't have to be permanent. Acoustic panels can be placed on stands, or even rested on the floor. This short article is mainly about home recording, but all the same principles apply to hi-fi and home theater too:

Wow this is really interesting stuff. It making me think I might not need a new receiver with sub EQ, as over EQing will only create distortion anyway.

I however do have a somewhat odd ceiling in my listening room. It vaults and is shaped like the top of a hexagon. Would this be an issue when treating the room?

Probably not. If you post a photo showing the ceiling I can be more specific.
