Aside from Matthew doing "Hallelujah", none of the others made me say WOW.
For not being a fan of Caroline, I do have to admit I think that was her best performance to date. She actually showed range for once and didn't stick with the same old monotone, mousey voice.
On the flipside, for being a big fan of Jacquie Lee, I didn't care for her performance. Sure, the girl has some pipes (more on that later), but it felt like she was using the old Christina Aguilera / Mariah Carey shtick of hitting powerful high notes simply because she could. Most of the song it just felt like overkill.
As for the comment earlier, it appears that when Christina and Jacquie are together Miss Aguilera doesn't have the biggest rack in the room anymore. I thought Jacquie was going to fall out of her top near the end of her performance.
Yet another song for James Wolpert that he doesn't have the range to hit. This is twice now and I'm sorry, but he just doesn't cut it for me.
Without looking at iTunes, if I had to choose 2 to go it would be Jonny and James. I would love to say Will needs to finally be cut loose, but I actually thought his performance was decent.
*EDIT* - Because I was curious, I looked at the charts after my post. Looks like of the 12, only 3 aren't even listed in the Top 100. Those would be Austin, Jonny, and Josh. If this is the bottom 3 where this Instant Save nonsense comes into play, I at least hope Austin survives.Edited by Tom Imp - 11/12/13 at 6:13am
