Subwoofer connected with 2channel receiver

I know to make a subwoofer work on a 2channel receiver, I have to connect it to the amp then connect the speakers to the sub with the speaker terminals. When I do this, will it change the way the speakers sound? I have two giant floor speakers (BIC RtR 1530) by the way

Depends on the subwoofer, some subwoofers has filter to remove bass from the left and right speaker.

If you DO NOT want the BIC to change, connect both subwoofers and BIC direct to 2 channel amplifier. They can share the same speaker terminal if 2 channel receiver does not have speaker B.

So I can connect the sub to speaker set B and keep the BIC speakers to speaker set A and that will work?

Here is my receiver I have. It isn't gonna make a difference if I plug the sub directly to the speaker b terminals compared to plugging it into A and plugging the speakers to the sub?

Yep. That's a great idea. Just use the other B terminals for the sub smile.gif

That depends.

See my recent post in the 3rd thread that you've started in the last few days regarding the same subject.
