4k @ 60fps over SDI

Hi all. I'm working with a company that is interested in adding 4K capture to their products over SDI. We're looking for some way of testing this and need a simple setup of some kind to playback video into our products at 4K resolution at 60fps. Is there some kind of PCI card that's capable of doing this? What kind of software would we need to drive it? Thanks!

They have 4K SDI products. Current systems use 3gbs dual link. There is a new 6gbs standard under development but not much out there yet.

I don't get what you are going to capture from however. 4K production today is mainly file based. The only time you get into real time is monitoring. While you could move 4K content around on SDI, a SAN or NAS architecture is more efficient and in some cases faster that realtime.

UPDATE: Most of the current work in 4K is at 24fps. As you probably know, 60fps (uncompressed) is a huge bandwidth load both in storage and realtime playout.

Is your application outside of the entertainment industry?
